REAR ADMIRAL DAVID GOVE, USN (Ret.)

Rear Adm. David Gove served on active duty for 34 years. Early assignments included service in both attack and ballistic missile nuclear submarines, leading to command of USS Louisville, Commander of Submarine Development Squadron 12, and Executive Assistant to the Chief of Naval Operations. Following promotion to flag rank, he had multiple command assignments in Japan and stateside including Commander Navy Personnel Command, and Oceanographer and Navigator of the Navy. After the Navy, Dave worked for Raytheon as Director for Undersea Warfare Systems. Now retired, in addition to supporting OHPRI, he serves on the board of Seamen’s Church Institute in Newport.
