Lisa Whisler Garavanta is Vice President of Government Affairs at FLIR Systems. She is the lead advocacy professional for the company’s work with federal, state and local elected and appointed officials. Lisa’s 20-year career in Washington, DC has been spent in the Pentagon and on Capitol Hill in support of the defense and technology industries. She is from a Newport maritime family and leads the Oliver Hazard Perry organization with outreach to legislators and corporate sponsors. Lisa is also a Regional Director on the Naval War College Foundation Board of Trustees.
