When did you first fall in love with sailing? Her name was Bubblegum and it was love at first sight. I was six or seven and she was a shiny new Opti with pink interior.
What's the best part of your job? The best part of my job is creating a moment in time each day for our shipmates that they will never be able to recreate. Those moments strung together throughout a program will hopefully impact who they become as they grow from teens to adults.
Favorite place you've sailed to: My favorite places to sail are the BVI and the Solent. I love BVT because of the ease in navigation and the culture that accompanies the islands. I love the Solent because every moment brings a new challenge, whether it be tidal calculations for secondary ports, Bramble Bank and drying heights, or high traffic regattas in narrow channels; every moment in the Solent is exciting.
What's your definition of a salad? My definiton of a salad is a tasty rainbow on my plate with oil and vinegar on the side.
