Show your support for Rhode Island’s flagship with our official SSV Oliver Hazard Perry challenge coin! Challenge coins are small, collectible coins or medallions bearing an organization’s insignia or emblem and carried by the organization’s members. Traditionally, they might be given to prove membership when challenged and to enhance morale.

Our challenge coin is stamped with our logo and the ship’s name on the front, and the back features a stylized 8-point compass rose with icons representing our organization’s mission: leadership, STEAM education, innovation, teambuilding, ocean literacy, supporting the blue economy, civic engagement, and workforce development. A raised rope edge on both sides of the coin provides a finishing touch.

Each 1.75″ coin is die-struck on an brass base with antique brass plating and an antiquing finish inside the raised design. Coins come inside a velvet drawstring bag for protection.
